CHOIR
Dr. Tikey Zes, Director
The St. Nicholas Choir has been directed by Dr. Tikey A. Zes for the past 21+ years. Tom Conom was the first choir director, followed by John Andreades, Jim Peterson and Manuel Patterakis.
In addition to singing throughout the year for Sunday services and special feast days the choir has presented an annual Christmas concert, sung for various functions and for weddings for many years. Members of the choir participate in the annual conference of the Greek Orthodox Choirs of the San Francisco Diocese. The choir has grown recently and there are presently 30 regular members, several of which are of solo calibre. The library consists of three full file cabinets and includes both liturgical, folk and popular music.
Choir rehearsals are held weekly in the choir loft on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 PM. Those interested in joining the choir may contact the director at 408-723-0640. Parishioners who want the choir to sing for their wedding should also contact the director well in advance of the wedding.
