CHE Families,

Welcome to the Center of Hellenic Education!

As all of you know, the situation with COVID-19 changed drastically our lives.  The CHE had adjusted the learning system and methods to secure a safe environment for our students and our community. We were the first parochial school to react at the new situation (I believe in the whole nation).

With the help of our teachers, CHE lost zero days of teaching, adapting at the peculiar situation we are facing. Furthermore, we implement summer fun learning classes for our children - as they were pretty much restricted at home all day -  in order to keep them occupied and reduce the stress levels, the anxiety and the fatigue of staying home in isolation for so many hours .

Together with the School Board, we have explored all the possibilities for the new school year. We are ready to continue our virtual education, if this will be the direction of the authorities, or in person classes following all the safety guidelines of the county and the state.   In preparation for this year we are attaching our calendar for the new school year and registration link.  This upcoming year we will have a back to school days (Tues. August 25, Thurs. 27, Sat 29nd) at 5 pm/ 10am Sat.).  This will be an opportunity for all to complete your registrations, as well as meet teachers and staff. This year we will require all students to register prior to the beginning of the school year to better coordinate class sizes and schedules.

Your student’s attendance during the first 4 weeks is required.  The first four weeks of class will be a review course and an assessment period to calibrate classes.  We will start our sessions virtually.

We have simplified our tuition plans for next year as well as offer private   online sessions.  The private on line lessons will need to coordinate with the principal, the teacher and the parents for all the details. There will be no make - up classes on the private lessons unless is a big emergency (having to attend a party hardly constitutes an emergency). At that time, we will work out a solution for the benefit of our student ( Tuition includes books and class materials as well as online supplemental materials for Levels K-3).

Feel free to share with others.  Thank you for choosing the Center of Hellenic Education.  You will receive an email from me after registering confirming your class.

We will see you at the Registrations Sessions!

Regards,

Petros Balaskas
